Corner of clean....

Of all the "cluttered" photos I've taken the last many months, this is one that actually got taken care of

The corner of the kitchen table.

Bills, keys, coupons, a calendar, to do lists, etc. It was all there. I had to just jump in.

Keys are still there but everything else gone. Coupons expired were thrown, coupons good were put in an envelope in the car for use, bills were piled into a file folder, envelopes recycled.

Little goals met make you feel progress. Small goals will make you more willing to complete them. :)

im cornered...

so ive got this corner on the kitchen table where i dump things
coupons
mail
things to take care of
to do lists
books
loose photos
newspaper articles
credit card receipts & statements
miscellaneous paper items

this morning i looked at it & decided its time to get rid of this.  i organized...i sorted...i threw out
it took me like 15 minutes & presto.  the only things there now are what i have to put in the car and my keys. :)

its natural purpose....

well, go mighty posted a challenge for the month of february that has captured my attention.

20 minutes every day.

so ive decided to spend 20 minutes each day doing something towards a go mighty goal.
since de-cluttering / spring cleaning / un-hoarding is one of my goals, i used todays 20 minutes to do so.

i found my laundry basket.  ive been piling laundry on the floor lately bc my laundry basket became an emergency catch-all.

ive thought about buying a new one to actually use for laundry but realized that the basket i already had was not serving its natural purpose.

i spent 20 minutes emptying it, tossing un-needables, and putting things back where they belonged.  i found my favorite shoes, an xbox and a book i need to return to my bff, among a bunch of other crap.  half of which i ended up throwing away.

im happy to say the basket is now empty.  and im about to fill it up with laundry.  its natural purpose.

a holiday organizing...

im doing some holiday chores because, well, xmas is pretty much over now and im gettin' bored.

so im going to organize something.  since ive become lazy this week, its going to be a non-physical organizing - moving my bookmarked internet pages into pinterest
AND
- deleting bookmarked pages that are no longer relevant to me

its amazing how many pages ive bookmarked this year & have no idea what they are.  nor ever looked at them again.  this is the time.

the secret of it is doing a total brain dump of small tasks that you know you need to do "one day" but may never think of again.  an item on my list is the cleaning of the bookmarks.

merry xmas

UPDATE:  9 new boards, 58 new pins

omg! shes such a hoar..der...

im also staring my organizing project with this dec 1st.  with family coming to town for the holidays & the new year around the corner, its probably a good idea to get my stuff together.  with my extremely limited space and ongoing projects everywhere, my space is beginning to look like an episode of "hoarders".

soooooo, commence 'project: un-hoarder'!!

1) take pics of small areas of my bedroom/bathroom pre-organize
2) choose an area at a time to organize
3) don't move on to a new area until the first area is complete
4) take pics of un-hoardered area!

the more you cut up a project into manageable steps, you can handle a project easier.  so here goes!!
