glowing & green.....

so im trying Kimberly Snyder's glowing green smoothie again.  what made this time successful was this...

1) my new found love of 30 day challenges (*thank you, pinterest)
2) the 10 day beauty detox challenge on Kimberly Snyder's instagram/blog

I did all 10 days.  today is day 14.  yep....im still on it and challenge completed.  I am sort of 'addicted' to it now. 

every morning I literally cant wait to drink it.  at first my skin broke out, around day 4, day 5.  but into the 2nd week, my skin is clearer.  I also feel like my digestive system is working more efficiently.  and the taste is really really good, being that you only taste the fruit.

instagram showed many users doing the challenge under #beautydetoxchallenge and followed each day for so many users.  including myself.

I haven't gotten into the beauty detox diet yet as im happy just to start on veggies for the moment, but I see future Kimberly Snyder challenges in my future.   also, her blog has a host of assignments, etc that will help get you on the right track.

Safe haven

a waste of the hours I spent reading this book.  hoping the movie was better, I wasted 2 more hours.

Corner of clean....

Of all the "cluttered" photos I've taken the last many months, this is one that actually got taken care of

The corner of the kitchen table.

Bills, keys, coupons, a calendar, to do lists, etc. It was all there. I had to just jump in.

Keys are still there but everything else gone. Coupons expired were thrown, coupons good were put in an envelope in the car for use, bills were piled into a file folder, envelopes recycled.

Little goals met make you feel progress. Small goals will make you more willing to complete them. :)

My heart is un-frozen...

I finally watched 'frozen'. I made a deal with my goddaughter. If she reads the Nancy drew books I bought her, I'll watch 'frozen'. I watched it in a plane.

It was very disney...the songs, the characters, the dashing prince, the funny little sidekick, the animal friend..

I loved it.  :) I probably wo t watch it again as I'm 38 years old but I really liked it.

Gone green.

I finally made Kimberly Snyder's glowing green smoothie. And I say finally because I've been trying to make it for about a year now.

And I drank it. And I made extra. Now..let's see how I feel. I'm going to also try to drink it daily.

It tastes good. It's easy to make. I think I can do this. :)

Cleaning your energy....

So in my ongoing quest to find purpose, balance and a normal life, this year will bring some new tasks for "project: secret".  Since "project: secret" crashed & burned last year, I'm going to approach it from another angle.

I have been very shallow with this project. I didn't use it to its full potential last year & it failed.  It hung in there but it failed, let's be honest.  So I revisited it, looked st it differently. Same project, same idea, different view.

Something I should've done & have wanted to do for some time is to clean the energy in my living space. Yeah, it sounds new age but really. It can't hurt & it may have do some psychic good.

And I need the psychic good. This includes cleaning clutter,"cleaning" stagnant energies in corners and making space so that you can concentrate, and direct your energy in other directions.

A perfect Scandal!!!

Ok. One of my favorite shows hands down!! It made me want to be a better person lol!!

It made me want to work harder, drink wine, and up my wardrobe. I loved that every episode was great. I loved the use if funky music all the way through. I love that you know each and every character. I love the monologues. I love that every problem has a best outcome. I love that even bad people have some good and that good people aren't perfect. I love that they're friends.

I cannot wait for more!

Brain on fire

So, our book club just read "brain on fire". Not sure what to expect, I was totally happy with out choice.

It is so real (a true story) & written in first person, so you feel the symptoms. Like you're experiencing the whole thing yourself. From the victim to the estranged parents to the coworker friends.   Its a scary but real look at mental illness & how much we still don't uunderstand

Brilliant.

Last vegas

This was a good movie, it had everything I love about Vegas!!

It had the gambling and the winning and the parties and the clubs and the bars and the views and the pools!! However....there were sad parts.

It was about old people who already had friends die & they didn't get as long with their kids & they were all alone! My one biggest biggest and most horrible fear is that I end up old & by myself.

But once they got to Vegas, it livened up. It ended an an entire-cast happy note and I liked it :)

Oh yeah, and the best cast ever.....

Enders game

Star wars + war games + independence day.

And it was wonderful!

Gravity pulled me in...

First of all, 3D and imax. That's first if all. But if you no longer have theater access to this nonstop action ride whose main characters are Sandra, George, space debris and other inanimate objects. It's ok. Just see it!!!!

I as claustrophobic, anxious and lonely throughout the movie but you feel like you're in it.   It's an experience. And youll never forget it. And Sandra bullock carries it almost entirely alone.

Devil

As if I didn't already hate elevators. I mean, I once asked where the stairs were at the world trade center. This is one scary creepy movie. That keeps you guessing

It also made me want to be a better person because I don't ever want to devil coming after me in a dark elevator!! Creepy scary fun!

Runner runner

I liked it. It was ok. It wasn't one if my super faves as it made me nervous.  Justin Timberlake is a really good actor, Ben Affleck plays smarmy very well and I loved the gambling.

But I don't know if I'd sit through it a second time.

Inferno

My latest Dan brown book.

I was looking sooo forward to this one. I was on the library waiting list forever! I read through it pretty quickly but I was a but confused by the end.

I loved the history, scenery and typical brown chapters all ending on a twist or cliffhanger. I recommend this one to those who like a good action story. But I liked "the list symbol" better.

Devilishly great book!!!!!!

My book club picked this book Oct 2012. I didn't even get to start it, let alone read it. I went to the meeting anyway. This book inspired gift bags, printouts and the best discussion ever in our club.  They all lovvved it. Favorite book ever!!

Uh, I missed out. So, when I had some time...a year later...I picked it back up. It was great. I missed out!! It was like a nonstop wonderful ride.

It inspired me to watch a few documentaries on the subject afterwards. Chicago worlds fair, inventions and murder.

Summer recap

I dont know what to say about July & august...  I thought fate intervened & was leading me on a different path.

As I figured this out & made a big leap of faith only path less chosen...it blew up in my face. Did I screw up? I'm not sure yet. But this summer has me angry and frustrated. My year project has me in every direction.

July was a turning point. My Vegas psychic was right to a point. But thetes 1.5 days left of the month & I'm curious to see what happens.

This was a perfect balance of good & bad. July was the turning point. THE turning point. But I did good :)

Gone girl gone

I did enjoy this book. I literally couldn't put it down. But....the characters were not likeable. The ending just about killed me. And evil triumphed. I hated the ending. It left me feeling very anxious about everything. But it was suspenseful and a good mystery.
